Etisalat's key achievements in telecommunications at Woman's Global Economic Forum presented

Ahmed Bin Ali presented Etisalat's success stories since it was launched. Today, Etisalat has become one of the leading telecommunication companies in the region and the world.

Etisalat is the leading company in the UAE and is ranked the fourth in the Middle East in terms of market capital. He said: 'Etisalat's advanced technologies are one of the most important tools that have helped Etisalat achieve its success and improve the UAE's economy.'

Ahmed Bin Ali also highlighted the importance of a woman's role in the UAE and the world. Also, he shed light on how Etisalat empowers women with different programs. He also emphasized that a woman's role in society should extend further into society.

During the first international Woman Global Economic Forum, Bin Ali said: 'Etisalat's management believes in the important role that women play in the process of social and economic advancement, with capabilities to obtain the highest leadership positions in all sectors.'

Ahmed Bin Ali clarified that Etisalat seeks to become one of the top telecommunication companies in the world, as it has achieved great success with its value added services and 3G services for mobile phones. Etisalat's UAE operations continued to perform strongly with the number of mobile subscriptions reaching 6.3 million, equivalent to a penetration of 150%.

Etisalat also witnessed growth in fixed-line services with telephone subscriptions growing to 1.32m lines and Internet users growth to more than 2.5m. The increase in mobile penetration ranks the UAE the first in terms of having the highest mobile penetration.

He added: 'Etisalat has a clear community relations strategy and is considered one of the leading companies and organizations in terms of launching advanced initiatives and supporting many of the social, humanitarian, academic, economical activities, and many more. Etisalat therefore received many awards for appreciation in the involvement with the community.'

Bin Ali said: 'The UAE is one of the leading countries in terms of supporting women's role in the community. I would like to extend my wishes to HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, who deserves the most gratitude for growing the population of talented women UAE nationals and inspiring them to higher standards that will prepare them to play an even more important role in the success of the nation.'
