Saadiyat Island taking shape

Construction works on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island are underway, with 10% of the infrastructure and 30% of the bridge connecting the island to Abu Dhabi complete, said Lee Tabler, CEO of the Tourism and Investment Company, speaking at the Abu Dhabi Conference 2007 organized by Meed. Tabler said a major expressway and five hotels on the north beach will be ready by 2009. Visitors will be allowed to tour the site beginning in two months by invitation only, he added.
