Commenting on the impressive sales, Jean Pierre Nammour, Managing Director of Sahara Centre, said: "The innovative Ramadan promotion during September and October 2007 was a great success and this is evident in the spurt in sales and footfalls at Sahara Centre. The Sahara Ramadan Charity Auction was conducted live in the mall with a wide array of luxury items like cars, home theatre systems, Umra packages, 19th Century Holy Quran manuscripts, , handicraft items as well as electronics getting under the gavel. The charity auction witnessed unprecedented response from the residents.
The special promotion auction ran across for four weeks, maintaining the surprise element and encouraging customers to bid for a dignified cause.
In her comments, Rima Chammas, Marketing Manager of Sahara Centre, said:
"We have seen a record year with the success of our various promotions. Our special Ramadan promotion was a grand success in building our popularity as a family shopping destination.
