Alsalam awarded a contract to perform B737 heavy maintenance for Shaheen Air International

Riyadh based Alsalam Aircraft Company, announced that it has been awarded a contract to perform B737 heavy maintenance for Shaheen Air International.

Shaheen Air International, based in Karachi, was designated as the second national carrier for Pakistan in 1994, and operates a fleet of B737 aircraft on domestic and international routes at reasonable prices.

In addition to domestic routes in Pakistan, Shaheen Air provides scheduled service to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat, and Al-Ain, Shaheen Air international will commence service between Pakistan and the U.K. on February 5, 2008 between Islamabad and Bradford and Islamabad Luton. Shaheen Air has experienced significant growth since 2004 and expects to continue its fleet and route expansion.

This contract demonstrates our ability to compete on a global basis and we look forward to continuing to support Shaheen Air as their fleet grows", said Mr. Mohammed Fallatah, Alsalam's President & CEO.
