Led by HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussain, forum speakers will include Arab and European personalities, including Saeed Al Muntafiq, Chairman of the Young Arab Leaders and Chief Executive Officer of Tatweer, His Excellency Michael Gloss, German Minister of Economics and Technology, and Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG.
As many as 100 delegates from the private and government sectors and civil organisations from more than 20 Arab and European countries will participate in the conference.
Elias Bou Saab, Vice-President of the American University in Dubai and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Arab-European Dialogue Forum, said:
'The Arab-European Dialogue Forum is an extension of the strategy of the Young Arab Leaders, which aims to promote dialogue between young peiople in the Arab region and the rest of the world, including the US, Asia and South America.'
'This forum is particularly important as it will help identify and strengthen strategic relations and partnerships between the Middle East and Europe by expanding the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and by building bridges of cooperation in a number of significant sectors.'
The Berlin forum, officially sponsored by Philips, will feature discussions on issues in the business and innovation sector, while focusing on the sciences and technology, as well as social responsibility. It will also include a brief debate on appropriate methods and mechanisms to drive Arab-European relations on multiple levels.
