BNP Paribas celebrates 2nd year anniversary in Saudi Arabia

The event was attended by clients from all the regions of the Kingdom, the press and BNP Paribas collaborators from the Gulf Regional Management and the Head office.

Mr. Michel Dubois, Country Head of BNP Paribas Saudi Arabia stated: "These two years have seen the branch growing from a fledgling operation to a fully staffed organisation, capable to provide our clients with the group's international range of products and services. At this date, the bank has a portfolio of about 200 corporate and private banking clients."

Mr. Dubois emphasized the recent privatisation of Saudi Airlines and the successful issue of Sukuk for well-known Saudi clients.

"Two years ago, BNP Paribas Saudi Arabia was represented by 2 collaborators only, today we are proud to have 40 collaborators most of them Saudis, who are the most valuable assets of the organization," said Jean-Christophe Durand, Regional Director - GCC countries.

BNP Paribas Saudi Arabia is part of the GCC regional expansion network of 7 branches in 5 countries. Its presence in the Gulf offers the main core business lines of BNP Paribas Group: international retail and financial services; corporate and investment banking; and asset management and services.

More than 10 specialised business lines of the group are active in the region from the Bahrain based regional hub, covering all GCC countries.

Mr. Durand expressed his sincere thanks to the clients, the Saudi authorities and the staff for their support to BNP Paribas Saudi Arabia and assured the audience of the commitment of the Group to expand further its presence and activities in the Kingdom as planned with the set-up of an asset management joint-venture, a CMA license and the opening of 2 more branches in Jeddah and Al Khobar as soon as the licence will be provided.
