- PRESS RELEASE
In another sign of the emirate's increasing prominence on the global financial stage, the US-based host of leading CNBC programmes today anchored two of the network's business shows live from Dubai.
CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, examined how the oil boom has provided Dubai with the largest government-run investment fund with almost US$1 trillion to invest in assets around the world and in the United States, including Madame Tussaud's, Barney's and GE's Plastics Unit.
During each programme, Burnett interviewed CEOs and business leaders from different sectors, including finance, real estate, transportation and technology, to discuss the impact of the emerging Middle East and how Dubai has become a financial centre rivaling New York and London.
