Porta Reef appoints Dutch Foundation & Concrete Processing to start construction work

Dutch Foundation & Concrete Processing S.P.C has been awarded the contract to carry out the construction on key parts of the exclusive Porta Reef development.
The ceremony was chaired by Porta Reef chairman, Fawaz Al Jowder and General Manager of DFCP - Bahrain, Milind Naik.
The contract includes the enabling and piling works for Porta Reef prject, as well as the construction of the Client Relationship Center (CRC) for Porta Reef which will be the focal point for Sales and Marketing the project. Excavation, shoring and preparation of site offices are also included in the DFCP's scope of work.
The award of the contract, which is for the duration of (2) months, represents the beginning of a (17) months process to develop Porta Reef, which will be completed over (2) phases.
Porta Reef is ADIH's latest addition to its real estate portfolio, and is situated on the exclusive and luxurious Reef Island in the Seef District. Reef Island, which is a strategic joint venture between the government of Bahrain and the Mouawad Group Real Estate Development Company, aims to attract high-net worth property investors from Bahrain as well as GCC residents who are looking for a distinctive second home. The USD 1.25 billion freehold development project covers an area of just under 600,000 square meters, of which Porta Reef occupies (16,000) square meters.
The DFCP was established in Bahrain in April of this year and has since carried out over ten medium-size piling projects on the island, maintaining tight deadlines and best-in-class technical professionalism. DFCP also has extensive experience in the GCC region, having successfully completed over 1,500 projects. The company's fields of expertise include design and execution of bored cast in-situ piles, retaining wall systems and shoring, anchoring and specialised testing works.
Porta Reef consists of three luxurious high towers with a water front view, catering to home investors with discerning taste. Half of the available units, including a whole tower and 40% of the residential units in the other two towers, have already been sold as part of phase one of the sales strategey. The second phase of sales will commence within the coming few months, comprising the rest of the residential units.
At the signing ceremony, Fawaz Al Jowder said, "This contract signifies the delivery of a product that meets the highest international quality standards, which is in line with the exquisite tastes of our clients. Our partnership with Dutch Foundation and Concrete Processing Company is the first of many which are being formed to ensure that Porta Reef exceeds the expectations of its residents."
