The loyal long-servers, received certificates and gifts from DUBAL in appreciation of their dedicated service to the company.

Addressing the gathering, H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Vice-Chairman: Dubal, said, 'We recognise and reward you for that which you have given to Dubal over the years. It is far more than just 25 years of your life: it's also 25 years'-worth of making the history of Dubal and, indeed, Dubai.'

H E Al Tayer went on to express Dubal's pride in the way that the award recipients have helped translate the vision of the company's Chairman - H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and the UAE Minister of Finance and Industry - into the Dubal of today. 'In 1982, when each of you joined Dubal, our company comprised just three potlines that, together, produced approximately 150,000 metric tonnes of hot aluminium each year,' he said. 'Over the years, you have been witness to - and directly involved in - a series of successive expansions that have collectively increased Dubal's facilities to eight potlines with a current production capacity of almost 890,000 metric tonnes a year. That's an increase of 488.6% in just quarter of a century!'

Today, Dubal is the seventh largest aluminium smelter in the world. Its highest quality metal is internationally renowned and sought after for applications ranging from construction through the automotive industry to the electronics and aerospace sectors. Its reputation for excellence in advancing technology, together with its expertise in the aluminium industry, is also growing worldwide - making Dubal a truly global brand.
