Budget carrier Air India Express (AIE) is to increase its flights to the GCC from next February, reported the Bahrain Tribune. AIE will launch services to Bahrain, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Sharjah and Dubai from Kerala and will also commence a service to Dubai from Ahmedabad and Goa at the same time. Indian carriers are entitled to 85,481 seats per week on Gulf routes and only 58% are currently utilised.
