Oryx Publishing launches 'GLAM'

GLAM, Qatar's first fashion magazine was launched with great fanfare on 21 November 2007 at The Pearl, Marriott.
Another fashion icon, the Mini Cooper, joined hands with GLAM in its launch road show. In a joint promotion with Alfardan Automobiles Co. (LLC), a GLAM-branded Mini was used for the magazine's launch party at The Pearl, Marriott and also at road shows held at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Education City, Royal Plaza and other prominent locations in the City. The inaugural issue of GLAM was distributed at the road show.
A bi-lingual publication, GLAM is the voice of today's modern, successful and stylish women, who want to be abreast of emerging trends in fashion. It offers a stimulating mix of fashion, beauty, glamour and style, maintaining a uniquely sophisticated tone, taking its readers to fashion ramps and giving a glimpse of styles, before they become trends.
As Qatar is witnessing a surge of world-class brands, boutiques and malls, consumers have been presented with an amazing array of choices. GLAM is their window to the latest and the best. GLAM provides an extensive coverage of fashion, haute couture collections of renowned designers, latest trends, model interviews, reviews of the best health care products and fitness regimes.
Speaking about the magazine Mr. Ravi Raman, Senior Business Manager, Oryx Advertising said, "The magazine is targeted at an audience who is conscious of fashion trends and wants to be up-to-date with the latest styles. The audience is young, successful and affluent and has the disposable income to try new products and labels."
GLAM would be available at all popular news stands and premium bookshops. GLAM is a Woman Today presentation, published by Oryx Advertising Co.W.L.L. The company is one of the oldest and biggest publishing house in Qatar. Established over 30 years ago, it is the only media house in the country that produces three monthly magazines - Qatar Today, Qatar Al Yom and Woman Today and a quarterly - The Connoisseur, all leaders in their categories.
