Sculptor carves a Murano from sand
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, November 26 - 2007 at 12:28
- PRESS RELEASE
Having proved its worth on sand, the Nissan Murano SUV will now be sculptured in sand - a lifesize replica to be built at the Arabian Automobiles' Sheikh Zayed Road showroom in Dubai.
She will begin work on the Murano from November 24 and will have completed the sculpture a week later.
The project is the Murano's latest involvement in art and style, linking Nissan and Arabian Automobiles to the arts through events and exhibitions that support established artists and encourage new talents.
"We are building on last year's Murano 'Sculpture in Motion' and 'Murano Xposed' exhibitions that were very successful in encouraging new talents and professional artists to create art inspired by the Murano design," said Michel I. Ayat, CEO Arabian Automobiles.
"The public are invited to come and watch Jenny Rossen at work on what promises to be a very spectacular project that will reveal the artistry of sand sculpture and the unique artistic design and styling that characterises the Murano."
