NBAD banks on Orange Business Services to support expansion plans

Orange Business Services has announced the completion of the first phase of an IP-based network contract with National Bank Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the number one bank in the United Arab Emirate's and winner of the Arab Technology Awards 2005 for 'Outstanding use of IT in Financial Services'.
Banking organizations need to control communication and information to meet regulatory requirements in addition to the increasing demands for security, reliability, privacy and data protection; they also need to remove the boundaries between people and information.
Linking their sites and people securely to SWIFT, the industry-owned co-operative supplying secure, standardized messaging services and interface software to financial institutions is a key objective for the bank. Orange Business Services' managed secure IP-based networking solutions support the communications needs of organizations like National Bank of Abu Dhabi and others in the finance industry.

In addition to National Bank of Abu Dhabi Orange Business Services works with other customers in the financial services sector in the Middle East, including EFG Hermes, the National Bank of Egypt and the Central Bank of Egypt. In addition, Orange Business services supports 1,300 trading floors in 58 countries, with trading desks and networks, and works with 50 per cent of the Fortune 100 companies in Europe, and 50 per cent of the Fortune 500 financial service companies.
