- PRESS RELEASE
One of the UAE's leading trading houses, Saeed Mohammed Al Ghandi & Sons (SMAG), part of the Al Ghandi Group, has signed an exclusive dealer agreement with UK based air conditioning company, MGR.
This venture places SMAG firmly in the forefront of the fast growing market in the UAE for portable air conditioning units for the hospitality, construction, rental and commercial markets, estimated to be worth in excess of Dhs100m per year.
The agreement was signed today by Martin Roberts, Managing Director of MGR and both Mr Buti Al Ghandi, Managing Director of the Al Ghandi Automotive Group and Graham Turner, General Manager of the Al Ghandi Automotive Group and SMAG, at the Enviromax Big 5 exhibition stand.
To ensure that Enviromax air conditioners are readily available in the UAE, MGR has established a new manufacturing plant in Ras Al Khaimah where their latest offerings, the Enviromax 10 and Enviromax 20, will be built.
The plant will become fully operational in 2008 and will create local employment opportunities for people to work alongside an expert team of technicians to produce the air conditioning units.
Al Ghandi's Graham Turner said: "This agreement is extremely important to the company. The Al Ghandi Group already represents McQuay who provide commercial air conditioning units, as well as consumer brands, Voltas and Whirlpool."
"The addition of Enviromax's portable air conditioning units complements our existing product range, ensuring that Al Ghandi & Sons can meet the needs of individuals and companies alike."
SMAG also represent Kohler, US manufacturers of marine and industrial generators, Marvair, US manufacturers of air conditioning units for the marine industry and the condensers at the core of the Enviromax product range and, Sea Recovery, US manufacturers of sea water recovery units and underwater illumination equipment for the marine industry.
Enviromax has over 40 years of manufacturing history and is world renowned in the field of portable air conditioning units. The Enviromax 10 and Enviromax 20 are fully self contained, portable, have cooling or heating capabilities and the lowest noise levels in the industry.
MGR has a joint exhibition stand with US marine air conditioning company, Marvair at the Big 5 exhibition.
