SES MEA also recognised the Perfect Project Awards in two categories: Best Client ROI/TCO and Most Innovative Solution.
The Best Client ROI/TCO Perfect Project Award was won by FVC while the Most Innovative Solution Award went to SW Soft for its virtualisation solution. The Best Client ROI/TCO category recognises recent successful deployments, highlighting the total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI) benefits for the customer. The Most Innovative Solution Award was judged on the level of innovation and ingenuity shown by the project. Vendors were eligible to enter implementations from across the globe, allowing business partners to see world-class examples of successful channel engagement and solution innovation.
SES MEA is a high-level, full service event that brings together influential IT decision makers from the region's large enterprises with multiple vendors. A compelling mixture of workshops, plenary keynotes, boardroom sessions and one-on-one meetings provided the CIOs and IT managers with the opportunity to meet with vendors, review their business strategy, interact with their peers and discuss future IT infrastructure projects.
Farouk Hemraj, CEO and co-founder of Distree Events, said, 'We have had numerous requests to add an end-user focused event to our offering in the Middle East and Africa. With industry research predicting further increase in IT spending in the region, we felt that the time was right to provide a neutral platform that focused on the needs of the CIOs and IT Directors working in the region.'
'SES is a great idea and we have had the opportunity to showcase our technology to the right people,' commented Olivier Poteaux, Area Manager, Middle East & East Africa for Infosec UPS System. 'We will definitely return next year.'
This year's SES MEA was supported by platinum sponsor AMD, with Secureway, Sun Microsystems and Xerox as Gold sponsors, and Atlantis-Land, FVC, Juniper and Oki as silver sponsors.
