The $33bn Dubai World Central (DWC) - the 140 square kilometre urban land development, twice the size of Hong Kong Island, in Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates, will throw open all its real estate offerings to a global sales audience at the event.
This is DWC's inaugural sales effort in targeting potential realty investors worldwide.
'Dubai World Central's real estate offerings in Jebel Ali, which is rapidly becoming the new Dubai city centre, will have easy access to the new airport - Al Maktoum International Airport, set to be the world's largest,' said Khalid bin Harib, CEO, Real Estate, Dubai World Central.
'Being a greenfield project DWC has masterplanned all world-class civic and leisure amenities within a radius of 10 kilometres. DWC's three real estate components spread over a total of 38.9 square kilometres and worth billions of dollars - DWC Residential City, DWC Commercial City and DWC Golf City - will be open to international investors for land reservation.
'The event will also provide industry professionals an unique insight into Middle Eastern real estate projects such as DWC which is an industry path-breaking concept as an airport city.'
Being built around five kilometres from Al Maktoum International Airport - outside the attested noise zone - and the world's first truly multi-modal integrated logistics platform - Dubai Logistics City (DLC), DWC Real Estate is one of the UAE's most important urban land development projects ever.
DWC Commercial City will be the business and commercial capital of Dubai World Central, expecting to employ at least 130,000 people. This city has been designed by Broadway Malyan, a leading international architectural and integrated design practice, in creating a world class urban city plan with completely new offerings than those currently seen in Dubai.
DWC Residential City is targeted at the mid-income housing segment as projects around the airport are expected to create a huge demand for affordable homes. Phase 1 of this project was sold out within a few hours of its announcement with demand to expedite the sales for phase 2. DWC Golf City will feature over 5,000 freehold homes which will surround two 18-hole golf courses. The resort will also feature a high-end boutique hotel.
'MIPIM Asia is a trade fair focused on real estate designed to encourage investment and facilitate deals between Asia Pacific local investors,' explained Abdulla Al Falasi, DWC's Director for Marketing and Corporate Communications, 'and DWC will be able to address global investors truly interested in the booming Middle Eastern market.'
Nearly a million people are eventually expected to live and work at DWC and the first phase of constructions are expected to be completed by 2009-2010.
Dubai World Central's real estate sales goes global
Prime Dubai land will attract international investor interest at MIPIM Asia - the world's property market conference and exhibition in Asia Pacific - ongoing until 30 November in Hong Kong.
