- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, November 28 - 2007 at 10:46
- PRESS RELEASE
Aramex - one of the world's leading total transport solutions providers - announced that it will continue its support of the AFC Champions League, the Asian equivalent of Europe's Champion's League as an official sponsor and logistics provider.
"The AFC Champions League is one of the top sporting events in Asia and the world," said Cristina D'Alessio, Vice President, World Sport Group organizers of AFC Champions League. "The logistical challenge of organizing such a tournament annually is extraordinary, and the support and expertise that Aramex provides us have helped to ensure a very smooth running tournament," added D'Alessio.
"Given the widespread popularity of the game in Asia, and the Middle East in particular, it was only natural for Aramex to be part of one of the continent's greatest displays of excellence in sport," said Iyad Kamal, Aramex Chief Logistics Officer.
As an added demonstration of logistical skill and expertise, Aramex will be solely responsible for transporting all league material and equipment from country to country - to include erecting the sport and advertising branding for the stadiums hosting the football matches - and on extremely tight deadlines.
