BP, the oil and gas multinational held a regional crisis management training event in Dubai designed to raise the capability and competence of BP's front line staff in line with the company's response system for incidents and crises.
Based on a campus-style training format, the three-day event included a special emphasis on Incident Management, Oil Spills, and Country/ Regional Crisis Networks, themes that were also reflected in the four exhibition stands at the venue. The training event was followed by a Regional Response Team (RRT) exercise where members of the RRT flew in to Dubai and teamed up with the Sharjah Incident Management Team (IMT). The aim of this exercise was to provide a learning opportunity for the IMT to effectively draw expertise from the rest of the BP world and efficiently respond to an incident while maintaining our core values and priorities of People, Environment, Business and Reputation.
