RTA stand wins Best Innovative Design Award in MENA Showcase

The winning of RTA Stand was announced in the grand final ceremony staged by the Organizing Committee of the Congress, and came as a result of questionnaire circulated at the participants of the Congress.

The announcement was made in the presence of engineer Eisa Abdul Rahman Al Dosari CEO of RTA Public Transport Agency & Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the event; engineer Abdul Majeed Al Khaja CEO of RTA Rail Agency & Vice Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Roberto Cavalieri President of the UITP, Hans Rat Secretary General of the UITP, engineer Abdul Aziz Malek CEO of Dubai Taxi Agency, Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla CEO of Marine Agency, a number of participants in the Congress & Showcase including experts & executives of public transport, and a host of media representatives.

Mr. Roberto Cavalieri, UITP President presented the Award to Dr. Aisha Al Busmait, Director of RTA Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep't, and the attendants, in a cheerful atmosphere from the participants, who were thrilled by the design & image of RTA stand in the exhibition.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Al Busmait said that the honour bestowed by the UITP to the stand of the RTA is culmination of the huge efforts made by the RTA, particularly Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep't. 'The work team made tireless efforts to ensure successful organization of this world event which is held for the first time in the region and it reflect a good image of the RTA in the regional & international events' she added.

Dr. Aisha further said that such decoration is surely a qualitative addition to the record of achievements made by the RTA since inception. It dictates upon us the need to make more efforts and move ahead to realize further achievements to bolster the profile of the RTA at the regional & global levels under the generous patronage & wise leadership of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

'Through participating and organizing this event, we aimed at turning it into a cornerstone upon which the RTA would play a crucial role in providing advice & essential knowledge to the entities governing & operating public transport systems in MENA countries. We feel the need to cooperate with these countries towards developing this sector to match the economic growth & demographic expansion witnessed by these two areas, and the paramount importance enjoyed by their markets at the global economic arena.
