Atkins delivers monumental Master Plan to Marina Durrat Al Bahrain

This marks a major milestone towards the realisation of the Marina. The Master Plan is the decisive strategic phase of development that will set the stage for the execution of design and construction. This framework maps out the grand design that will distinguish it as one of the world's most sophisticated and revered marinas.

Marina Durrat Al Bahrain will be the first multi-service marina of its size and class. It is expected to attract tourists, real-estate and sailing enthusiasts from across the globe because of its striking design, astounding architectural features and quality services. It will boast decadent restaurants, retail gallerias, waterfront cafes, luxury resorts, promenades and comfortably stylish residential units with spectacular views of the marina and open sea.

The marina will be located within the seaside resort of the renowned Durrat Al Bahrain, an astonishing constellation of man-made islands, with high-end beach-front residences, villas, a golf course, a five-star hotel on the mainland and connected by a network of adjoining bridges. The Durrat Al Bahrain is visible from space and expected to become one of the most outstanding developments in the Middle East, of which the marina will be its crowning jewel.

After much consideration and collaborative effort, Marina Durrat Al Bahrain's senior members have approved the Master Plan proposed by Atkins. The Master Plan was recently consigned to Durrat Al Bahrain, and now the marina project is fully equipped for the next stage of development.

World famous developments such as the Burj al Arab, the Bahrain World Trade Centre and the Dubai Metro are part of the Atkins portfolio.

The Primary Infrastructure Design & Supervision Consultancy Services proposals were submitted November 7th and soon the winning firm will be determined. After the design stage is approved, we will circulate the RFP for the Quantity Surveying Works, the definitive step towards the actualisation of Bahrain's grandest marina."
