Le Méridien Al Aqah celebrates culture and tradition with UAE National Day 2007

As part of the 2007 UAE National Day celebrations, Le Méridien Al Aqah will be hosting a variety of traditional Arabic themed initiatives to take place at the hotel from November 29 to December 05.
A number of cultural exhibitions showcasing historic UAE artifacts such as old coins, stamps and pictures of past rulers of the Emirates will also be on display. To mark the celebrations, the hotel will be adorned with UAE themed décor and will have the biggest UAE flag in the East cost flying high for all to see.
In addition to this, the hotel will visit local hospitals where they will meet with the elderly and distribute gifts to sick children. On December 04, the bi-annual Monodrama Festival will take place. Celebrities from the Arabic Acting World including Mr. Doraid Laham from Syria and Nour Al Sharif from Egypt will be present to initiate "Arabian Hope" - where a section of Al Aqah's gardens will be dedicated to future hope and prosperity of the UAE.
Also taking place throughout the week long celebrations of UAE National Day is an educational programme which will centre on the growth and prosperity of UAE culture. The presentation, happening on December 02, will be in collaboration with the Higher Collages of Technology and will focus on the prominent role played by UAE women in today's society.
As a final part of the cultural and traditional celebrations, Le Méridien Al Aqah will accompany a group of international guests to the nearby village in order to provide them with a deeper understanding of the local traditions and practices, cultural roots and historic background.
