The gold sponsorship of the high profile education conference was Dubai World's expression of social responsibility. The company has always been keen to be part of all efforts to build a knowledge-based society that is the backbone of the country's future.
Mr. Farid Mohammed Ahmed, Secretary General of Dubai World, said: 'The AUSACE conference touched one of the key areas of life - communication. The sharing of ideas presents the best opportunity to come up with productive solutions. This is a very important aspect of corporate life as well.'
'As the conference's gold sponsors, Dubai World was keen to highlight this aspect,' he said. 'We have always been eager to support similar academic activities of Zayed University as we realise how that will help grow a knowledgeable future generation.'
The conference, which was held from October 28-30, 2007, was organised by Zayed University, College of Communication and Media Sciences and Zayed University Media Center.
Two hundred experts from 40 countries participated in the forum, which was based on the theme 'Communication at the Crossroad of Globalisation.'
The various sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing exchanges between Arab and US media professionals and senior journalism students.
