SAS recently launched its thrice-weekly, non-stop flight from Dubai to Copenhagen with onward connections to Finland and Norway - the first to directly link the UAE with Scandinavia.
Hall of Fame hockey star Kurri and Olympic goalie Valtonen are in town for the UAE ice hockey youth camps held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain over the next two weeks.
''These great athletes have donated their time and efforts to come to Dubai to teach everything from ice hockey skills to conditioning both on and off the ice and SAS is fully committed to supporting this initiative," said Magnus Engstrom, UAE General Manager, SAS.
The UAE junior ice hockey programme began almost two decades ago with a handful of young players mainly from Canada and some northern European countries. There are now over 300 players, from more than 20 different countries participating in the hockey programmes offered by clubs.
