OGS 2007 also incorporates the Arab Instrumentation and Automation Show (AIA), a comprehensive display of technology for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory professionals. The AIA was set up as a separate platform in light of increasing demand for a viable avenue to explore process automation and control technologies with a significant cross-over in a region that accounts for nearly 60 per cent of the world's proven oil reserves.
According to Anselm Godinho, Managing Director of IC&E, the organisers of OGS:
"We are aiming to deliver a consistently available and comprehensive technology platform to meet the growing needs of UAE, as well as GCC and Middle Eastern markets. The show has distinguished itself as the leading forum for the oil and gas industry, where, besides enhanced contact with the regional buyer, actual business transactions are enacted."
The three-day event offers a premier networking forum for technology and service providers and equipment suppliers to oil, natural gas and energy producers. OGS 2007 is encouraging discussion on a diverse range of issues through a series of expert speaker sessions and seminars on topics relevant to contemporary energy sector practices.
Anselm adds: "We are developing OGS not only as a trade event but a comprehensive liaison platform and networking opportunity. Bringing key players together will facilitate the exchange of thoughts, ideas and experience, while contributing to business development."
The show will be open to trade visitors from 10am to 7pm on all three days of the show (December 4 - 6, 2007) at Hall 4 and 5, at Dubai International Exhibition Center.
