Emirates-CAE Flight Training to provide helicopter training to India's Global Vectra
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, December 03 - 2007 at 15:18
- PRESS RELEASE
Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) has signed a three-year contract to provide helicopter training to Global Vectra Helicorp. Ltd (GVHL), India's largest offshore helicopter operator.
Walter Visser, Managing Director ECFT, said: "I am very pleased to welcome Global Vectra to Emirates-CAE Flight Training and I am confident its flight crew will receive the highest level of training, in pleasant and secure surroundings.
"ECFT became an authorised Bell Helicopter Training Facility in 2006 for operators of the Bell 412 helicopter across the Middle East and Asia. Since then, we have attracted a significant number of helicopter operators within the region, who appreciate the fact that our location is close enough to their operations to ensure minimal disruption to their schedules."
Emirates - CAE Flight Training is approved by both the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA). The Bell 412 full flight simulator is certified to FAA Level D standard and is also the first of its type in the world to be certified to Level D standard by the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (UK-CAA).
Allan Brown, CEO of Global Vectra, commented "Global Vectra is proud to enter into this new relationship with ECFT in Dubai for the provision of all of our company's flight simulator training. Global Vectra's long-term commitment to the highest levels of crew and passenger safety is reflected in this agreement, which also demonstrates our complete confidence in the high standards and modern training facilities provided to our pilots by ECFT in Dubai.
"We look forward to utilising not only the excellent Bell 412 simulator at ECFT, but also the wide range of instructional expertise offered by ECFT's training staff, who will be providing all of our initial and recurrent Bell 412 Type Training. We also intend to take full advantage of the Helicopter Crew Resource Management courses offered to all of Global Vectra's pilots as part of this agreement."
