CGC observes AIDS Awareness Day

Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC), the largest telecom and IT solution provider as well as the biggest retailer of mobile phones in Qatar, observed AIDS Awareness Day to mark the World AIDS Day on December 1st.

As part of its corporate social responsibility program, CGC tied up with National Health Authority to provide AIDS awareness badges, posters, leaflets, etc. to create awareness in society about HIV/AIDS disease.

All staff in CGC Corporate office, Marketing Office, Project office, Operations Office, Nokia showrooms and Nokia Service Centers wore the AIDS awareness badges for a great social cause. Educational posters, booklets, leaflets and calendars were also put on display at these locations to spread the message to a cross section of society. Even CGC-Nokia dealer outlets across the country joined in observing the event.

Anil Mahajan, Head - Business Development, CGC, thanked the National Health Authority and staff colleagues for supporting CGC social awareness program. "As a responsible company, CGC has been organizing various activities and contributing to different causes in public interests. We are always supportive of such programs in the benefit of the people of Qatar," he added.
