Shaikha Maram bint Isa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Director - Office of Her Highness Wife of the King of Bahrain and Head of the Riffa Views Bahrain International Garden Show (RVBIGS) Committee and Mahesh Bhatia, Senior Sales Officer, Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA), met with H.E. Takeshi Kondo, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Japanese Embassy on 28th November 2007 in connection with Japan's participation in RVBIGS 2008. Takuya Furuya, President of Nomura Investment Banking (Middle East) BSC, accompanied H.E. Mr. Kondo at the meeting.
Japanese elements such as Bonsai plants, paintings, water elements, sand gardens and other Zen garden influences will highlight the beauty of spring in Bahrain when RVBIGS 2008 opens 22nd until 24th February 2008 at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre (BIEC).
The Embassy of Japan joins companies from China, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates who have confirmed their participation at RVBIGS 2008. Over 14,000 square metres of prime exhibition space have been allocated at BIEC for this national hallmark event.
Japanese Embassy signs on for RVBIGS 2008
Next year marks the first time for the Japanese Embassy to participate in RVBIGS which will focus on the theme, Scented Gardens.
