Al Jazeera Children's Channel representative office in Malaysia will work closely with production companies locally and in other major Asia pacific countries, with aim to grow its portfolio and offer world class standard in animation and multimedia content for the Arabic speaking children around the world. The bureau is assigned to coordinate content development initiatives, knowledge & skills exchange, also to introduce JCC to education institutions, civil society organizations, and governmental bodies and pave the way forward for collaboration.
Mahmoud Bouneb, Executive General Manager of Al Jazeera Children's Channel stated:
"We are delighted to officially launch our operation in Malaysia today and be the first Arabic Children TV channel ever to open a representative office in Malaysia. This office came as a result of the MoU signed with MDeC and the many projects we are producing now in this region. Our aim is to bridge between the Muslim kids around the world, as well as offer a supplement to the school curriculum, which includes Arabic language classes every week, by introducing JCC to the children of Malaysia."
During the inauguration event, Al Jazeera Children's Channel Executive General Manager and MDeC's Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Badlisham Ghazali exchanged the recently signed contract where both parties committed to co-produce the multi-million dollars 3D animated television series 'Saladin'.
