NexTone platform lets Verscom launch new hosted VoIP partitioning service in EMEA
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, December 04 - 2007 at 12:09
- PRESS RELEASE
NexTone, a leader in session border controllers and scalable session management solutions for VoIP, multimedia, and IMS network interconnects, announced that Verscom, a leading supplier of carrier solutions in EMEA, has deployed NexTone's IntelliConnect System to offer hosted VoIP partitioning with full redundancy.
"Since we launched our managed service business earlier this year, adding another NexTone platform into our network to provide hosted and partition services to carriers is a natural progression," said Mark Bradley, director of managed services for Verscom. "Verscom's
experience in using NexTone's platform in our own carrier network, and in integrating the
technology into our carrier customers' networks, means Verscom is ideally placed to manage its customers' VoIP networks."
Verscom has been a value-added partner for NexTone in Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
for the last two years and has supplied numerous NexTone networks to carriers in the region.
In addition, Verscom runs more than 850 million minutes per year over its own voice network
using the NexTone platform.
"Verscom is an innovative service and solution provider that's leveraging the power of VoIP in
its wholesale and solutions business," said Chris Menier, vice president of carrier sales EMEA for NexTone. "By deploying NexTone's platform, Verscom can offer its customers intelligent session management capabilities and advanced features for current and evolving VoIP
applications."
"We believe that this addition to our current NexTone deployments will help us position ourselves one step ahead of the competition," said Dubai-based Gokce Bilyay, CEO of Verscom. "NexTone is a key partner for Verscom, and this new IntelliConnect System will help us gain valuable market share."
Among Verscom offerings are hosted wholesale VoIP interconnect applications, access SBC partitioning as well as enhanced applications like policy-enforcement to complement Verscom's other managed service offerings for real-time, multi-service networks combining voice and video technologies.
