Emirates Identity Authority launches new website

H.E. Darwish Al Zaraouni, General Director of Emirates Identity Authority said that launching the new EIDA website comes under the enlightenment and promotion plan adopted by EIDA in order to enhance the awareness level for the public in relation with the population register & ID Card Program and be provided with all the necessary information on the Card's feature and use thereof, in addition to the goals of the population register and the role it plays in the national development, along with the information on registration centers spread across the UAE and registration procedures.

"The new website has been upgraded to become a comprehensive gate for e-services to be provided by the Authority to customers using ID Card for obtaining different government & non-government e-services," stated Mr. Zaraouni.

The importance of the authority's website lies in that it is the first station in the registration process to obtain the ID card, whereas customers shall fill the registration form on the internet and print it out before they head to the registration center along with their necessary evidentiary documents (passports and family book for UAE nationals, passport and residence visa for expatriates) to further complete the remaining procedures such as signing, taking finger prints and photos, added Mr. Zaraouni, who pointed out that the new website is featured by its new registration form which was updated to make registration process easier for customers.

The authority's new website www.emiratesid.ae has been launched in both Arabic & English languages. It now contains more features and has become easier to explore and access its pages. It also gives full explanation and comprehensive information on the ID card, its features and electronic characteristics, current and future use thereof, in addition to details on the population register as well as news on the Authority's activities and main achievements.

When browsing FAQ, the explorer will find all the issues related to the population register & ID card program, as all the potential questions have been answered.

Furthermore, the Registration Centers Site Map includes a detailed explanation on the centers locations & contact Numbers in addition to the customer service Toll Free (600 523 432) provided by the Authority to give a better service to its customers.
