- PRESS RELEASE
Nexus, one of the region's leading financial advisory groups, will be the sponsor for the French Sevens team at the 38th Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens.
France, whose national team reached the Bronze final in World Cup this year, are bringing a star-studded squad to do battle with other rugby powerhouses from around the world including Australia, Samoa, Wales, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, England and the Arabian Gulf.
"Nexus is a firm supporter of sport in the community and we are delighted to partner again with the Rugby Sevens and the French national team," said Mahmoud Nodjoumi, Nexus' owner and CEO.
The Dubai Rugby Sevens will run over three days with local, regional and international teams kicking off the event on Thursday, November 29 running through to December 1. Over 160 teams and 1,750 players will play at this year's event.
France will be facing some stiff competition if they are to lift the trophy, starting in Pool A alongside New Zealand, Scotland and the Arabian Gulf.
Nexus' sponsorship policy provides support for a wide range of sporting and community activity, including working as a sponsor for Abu Dhabi Rugby Union Football Club.
