Newly appointed head of Syria Galileo NDC steps up agent training

Galileo, one of the leading global distribution system (GDS) providers and part of Travelport GDS announced the appointment of Wafik Chabou as the Galileo NDC Head, Syrian Arab Airline, in Syria.
Coinciding with the new appointment is an increase in training within Galileo's Syrian department. In September Galileo trained over 100 IATA agents and the GDS is set to provide training for more agents in the coming months. Two five-day courses were held in November, each consisting of seven agents.
Rabih Saab commented, "We are delighted that, Mr Waifik has now been appointed the new Galileo NDC head by Syrian Arab Airline in Syria. With the growth of the GDS in Syria and the continued investment in focusing on our customers, this is a very exciting time as the business develops and we look forward to working closely with him to continue this growth and expansion."
