Anabtawi, who has held senior positions at international blue-chips firms such as Drexel Burnham Lambert, Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley, brings 20 years of experience in the global banking industry to this key position at Abraaj. In addition, he has 10 years of experience in private equity.

Anabtawi began his professional career in the United States, where he served at IBM and Anderson Consulting. Immediately prior to joining Abraaj, he served as Head of Regional Origination and Director, Corporate and Investment Banking, MENA, at Standard Bank in Dubai. Anabtawi holds a BSC in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College in New York and an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
