The camera can be equipped with industry standard removable lenses that could be customized for optional Zoom or Wide-Angle, to adapt to each specific application and indoor or outdoor settings.
The Linksys PVC2300 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) and can be powered via a PoE Switch or power injector via Ethernet cabling. This allows installations near ceilings on rooftops or any other location where power outlets may not be available.
"Video surveillance is a critical application for each business, whatever its size, to secure and monitor after hours or show remote images of offices or parking facilities. At Linksys we believe that video surveillance must be included to the office's network, working together with all devices and compatible with all important standards,"
added Hoda.
The PVC2300 has two input and two output ports which can be used to connect the camera to an alarm panel, siren, Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors, smoke detectors, lighting switch, door sensors, etc. The camera comes with motion detection functionality, and can be configured to send notifications through email (up to 3 email addresses) to the laptop or mobile phone or it can include a video or a preset time.
Linksys Business Internet Cameras use a progressive scan CCD sensor delivering high quality video images. The CCD sensor is low-light sensitive and can be used in low light environments or during "near dark" times of the day. Additionally, the camera incorporates an IR Cut Filter which, when used with a separate infra-red lamp, allows video capture in total darkness.
