Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation names Yasser Hareb Vice President for Culture

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation today announced the appointment of Yasser Hareb as Vice President for Culture, one of three main segments under the foundation.
A graduate of Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Programme, Hareb has earlier worked as Project Manager at Dubai e-Government before moving to Dubai Institute for Human Development (DIHRD) as Business Development and Marketing Manager. Later, he joined the Executive Council in Dubai as a Government Policies Specialist.
Mohammed Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation said: "In order to build the region's knowledge capabilities and contribute to the foundation's mission, we are keen to attract dynamic and talented young Emiratis. As our strategic partner in driving our goals, the young generation can play a vital role in achieving the foundation's far sighted objectives.
"We are confident that Yasser Hareb will contribute effectively to strengthen the foundation's task force."
An active member of the UAE culture community, Hareb worked as Editor-in-Chief for a number of regional magazines. He writes regularly for several leading regional publications and authored a book in 2006 titled "Towards New Thinking".
Yasser Hareb said: "It's a great privilege to be part of a significant initiative that seeks to introduce positive changes that impact the entire region. Throughout its history, the Arab world has been a centre for culture and knowledge, and it will be an honour to help disseminate this wealth around and beyond the region's borders. I am looking forward to carrying out my new responsibilities and I am determined to live up to the trust placed in me by the Foundation's senior management."
Yasser Hareb has attended several training programmes including the Executive Leadership Programme at INSEAD University in France. He holds a degree in Management Information Systems from the UAE University.
