Merrill Lynch sponsors Arab Business Women in a Modern Economy conference in Dubai

Merrill Lynch today announced its role as co sponsor of "Powering The Future: Arab Business Women in a Modern Economy", a conference to be held in the United Arab Emirates on 10th and 11th December 2007.
Jeffrey Culpepper, head of Global Markets and Investment Banking, Merrill Lynch MENA said:
"Merrill Lynch is delighted to be partnering with the Arab International Women's Forum in supporting this important initiative. Increased female participation in the Arab economies is one of the key elements for economic success and Merrill Lynch together with AIWF is committed to promoting female entrepreneurship in this region."
Mrs Haifa Al Kaylani, President of the Arab International Women's Forum said:
"The conference agenda builds on the AIWF themes of 2007 launched in March this year: Globalisation, Trade and Entrepreneurship. The event is a significant step linking the City of Dubai, the City of London and the wider financial community. It provides an important opportunity to highlight gender equality, expand business partnerships and promote good governance practices as key elements for unlocking the full potential of this important region."
