Heathrow's second largest carrier celebrates the start of daily non-stop flights to Cairo

bmi, Heathrow's second largest carrier, hosted a trade party end of November at one of Egypt's prestigious hotels to celebrate the commencement of its daily non-stop from Cairo to London Heathrow in November 2007.

Max Hunt, General Manager, International Sales and Marketing of bmi, delivered the key note presentation. Other guests included Berge Andreassian, General Manager of Travia, bmi's GSA (General Sales Agent), Mr Ahmed El Hawary bmi's Cairo Airport Station Manager, as well as prominent representatives from numerous travel agencies. Mahmoud El Eissely, the famous Egyptian singer, with his charm and talent helped make the event a wonderful success. To add excitement to the party, a contest was held and two lucky travel agents won two round-trip bmi airlines tickets to London.

Operating the Airbus A320 aircraft, bmi offers competitive fares catering to both business and economy travelers who require more choice and better value.

According to statistics from the UK Civil Aviation Authority from January to September 2006, bmi is Heathrow's most punctual UK airline, flying 1700 European and domestic flights each week.
