Saeed Al Muntafiq, Executive Chairman of Tatweer, said:
"We are proud to enter into partnership with Lammtara Pictures. Our direction is to support original and unique productions and we look forward to taking this company to a wider audience and lay the foundation for its future growth."
"Tatweer strongly believes in the intellectual property of Lammtara Pictures and its FREEJ brand. This is why we have decided to invest in this company, led by entrepreneur Mohammed Saeed Harib, a UAE national with substantial creative accomplishments."
Tatweer's investment will also consolidate the growth plans of Lammtara Pictures and help the company to become a leading Arab entertainment provider while ensuring the continuation and stability of Lammtara's creative capabilities.
Mohammed Saeed Harib, Founder of Lammtara Pictures, said: "Tatweer operates across diverse domains and its support is key to our future growth. The alliance will give us confidence to produce premium content for a wider audience. We are confident Lammtara will evolve into a company of sizeable regional strength in the future."
Dubai-based Lammtara Pictures, a pioneering production company, took the animation market by storm in 2006 by launching the popular FREEJ series. The series, which was aired on Sama Dubai TV and Dubai TV, has already developed a wide viewership base across the GCC and the recent subtitling of the show helped educate many non Arabic speaking viewers about the UAE culture and traditions.
Tatweer, a key contributor to the growth of Dubai, has interests in several business strategic sectors and has already announced its plans to make Dubai a centre for leisure and entertainment. The stake in Lammtara Pictures is an illustration of the conglomerate's strategy to tap the potential of this UAE Company to inspire more appealing creative content while expanding its own interests in leisure and entertainment.
