BenQ LCD TV range records strong Q3 growth

Networked digital lifestyle solutions leader, BenQ, continues to lead regional digital solutions markets with another strong Q3 2007 growth in LCD TV sales - by recording a phenomenal 125% growth in Qatar, 100% in Bahrain and Oman and 25% in Kuwait - compared to the previous quarter.

BenQ, to sustain leadership in these markets, has recently unveiled its first-ever full HD LCD TVs campaign in the Middle East to achieve the revenue target of $100m in Q4.

"Since our inception, we have consistently posted excellent results accredited to our regional initiatives to provide customers with the latest digital lifestyle solutions combined with innovative and cutting-edge technologies ," said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, BenQ Middle East & Africa.

To meet growing demands in this product segment, BenQ will also launch the SH series LCD TV range in the Qatar, Oman and Kuwait markets. BenQ's SH3731 and 42-inch SH4231 displays - provide a two million pixel image for crystal clear picture - feature the brand's patented Senseye technology.

"Consumers are increasingly becoming technology-savvy and design-conscious and this has led to a surge of demand for digital lifestyle devices such as our high-end LCD TVs," added Bakshi. "Our new 37-inch and 42-inch SH series models will provide businesses and home-users with virtual surround sound and a cinema-style picture for ultimate viewing experience."

BenQ's VB and VL series - 37-inch and 42-inch - LCD TVs were some of the popular models within the company's product mix, which enjoys a 40 per cent stake in Qatar.

"Our successful customer-focused approach and integrated channel strategies were key factors that contributed to our record-breaking LCD TV sales in these markets. We also owe this success to our authorised service provider and partners that have helped build BenQ's brand through their strong retail presence and excellent customer service capabilities,"


Bakshi furthered.

These LCD TVs are marketed through the following BenQ partners - Doha Communications in Qatar, Business International in Bahrain, Loay International in Oman and Xpress Cell in Kuwait.

"Going forward, we are confident we will be able to maintain our leadership position in the GCC markets and will continue to develop new technologies to satisfy our customers' needs as well as continue to register double-digit growth in this region," said Bakshi.
