The Rosewood Corniche in Jeddah has reported a strong response from female guests since opening its doors in September to reveal a dedicated Ladies' Floor which is unique in Saudi Arabia.

And Rosewood Corniche management believe more hotels could now follow their example, and give a strong response to a recent World Travel Market report which says the Middle East is missing out by targeting Muslims and non-Muslims in exactly the same way.

The report claimed Middle East countries are failing to tap into opportunities within the Islamic tourism market, such as a halal airline or women-only hotels.

Responding to the report, Hans-Peter Leitzke, Managing Director of the Rosewood Corniche, said:

'We designed our dedicated Ladies Floor because there is a demand for this kind of facility from Arab ladies and female travellers as a whole, and the response so far underlines this.'

'We are confident it will establish the Rosewood Corniche as Saudi Arabia's most sought after hotel for the discriminating female traveller. At the same time, I would not be surprised to see more hotels here and in other parts of the region opening ladies floors.

'Apart from the need of Arab ladies, and Arab ladies organisations which want exclusive facilities to stage events, female business travellers in general have special needs, including privacy, which only a dedicated ladies floor can meet.'

The dedicated Ladies' Floor at the Rosewood Corniche in Jeddah takes female travellers into a luxurious world of private rooms and suites created exclusively for females and serviced exclusively by female staff.

It offers an elegant and private retreat, with an exceptional range of amenities specifically designed and tailored to meet the needs of female guests, including 24-hour female butler service, luxurious handmade bedding, female inspired artwork and a distinctive array of imported toiletries and grooming essentials.

Overlooking the Red Sea from its location on the Jeddah Corniche, the hotel is the latest property in the international Rosewood Hotels and Resorts collection and the third in the Kingdom. It is at the heart of the city's fashionable northern corner, and just minutes away from the key business, diplomatic and designer shopping districts.
