The Gold Mouse is awarded by the Computer Sweden trade magazine and Affärsvärlden business weekly and is considered to be the most prestigious award in Sweden for IT companies. The requirements for the winner in the "IT Company of the Year" category should be a successful Swedish company active in the IT sector, which developed positively over the last year, implemented new investments or excelled in some other manner. The company must be Swedish owned or have its head office in Sweden.
Axis has won the Gold Mouse previously in 1996 in the category "Communications company/ product of the year".
