During his recent visit to Abu Dhabi, Mr Luca di Montezemolo, Chairman of Ferrari, accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to the UAE, Paolo Dionisi, and Mr Saeed Al Tayer, Managing Director of Al Tayer Motors, toured the 1,700 sqm facility, comprising a 870 smq showroom, lounge, dealer selection area, aftersales, spare parts and mezzanine floor for pre-owned car sales.

'We are extremely proud to launch this new Premier Motors facility, which is a mark of our ongoing commitment to our growing base of loyal customers in Abu Dhabi' stated Ashok Khanna, General Manager, Al Tayer Motors. 'In the year 2006/07, response for both Ferrari and Maserati across the UAE has been very positive. Ferrari sales witnessed by the end of October 2007 a 60% increase, and Maserati an outstanding 93%. The Umm Al Nar showroom will help to more effectively cater to our customer base in Abu Dhabi and should contribute to the further significant growth of our business overall.'

Vehicles on display include the Ferrari line-up (F430, 612 Scaglietti, 599 GTB Fiorano and the new 430 Scuderia, unveiled at Dubai Motor Show) and the newly launched Maserati GranTurismo as well as the Quattroporte range, including the Quattroporte Automatic and the Quattroporte Sport GT S, the last model unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Umm Al Nar facility also includes a sleek Ferrari Dealer Selection Area, displaying an exclusive selection of apparel for women, men and kids, luxury items, accessories, leather goods, scale models, toys, publications and the 'memorabilia' (original parts of Granturismo and Formula 1 cars). Characterised by truly individual design, a combination of sophisticated elegance and sportyness, Ferrari items boast styling cues inspired by the Prancing Horse's heritage as well as unique details of its GT cars.

On display in the Maserati merchandise store is a wide range of elegant and luxurious objects, from comfortable sportswear and accessories for both business and leisure to assorted memorabilia such as scale models, posters and radio controlled cars. These are the new, exclusive products from the Maserati Collection, which is launching at the next Motor Show of Bologna the 2008 catalogue. The collection is divided into six categories: Pure, Executive, Leisure, Gift, Passion and MC.

2007 has been a year of important milestones for both brands, Ferrari having celebrated its 60th anniversary, becoming reigning F1 World Champion and launching a brand new model, the 430 Scuderia; and three important model launches for Maserati - namely the Quattroporte Automatic, the Quattroporte Sport GT S variant and the stylish GranTurismo, a model which also celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
