- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, December 11 - 2007 at 11:26
- PRESS RELEASE
Nattiq Technologies announced today the release of version 3.50 of Talks mobile screen reader software which runs on Nokia's Series 60 3rd edition handsets.
Blind users can also write and read SMS messages, check the current time and date, the strength of the signal, the time remaining in the battery and all other aspects of using a mobile phone via synthesized speech. With Talks version 3.50, users may browse the internet momentarily. They appreciate the value of such a feature more than anyone else as they have limited access to printed materials so they may turn to the internet for alternative digital information.
"Now they are able to turn to their Nokia handsets equipped with Talks 3.50 and have an instant access to the web with a press of a button," said Auda Hazeem, CEO of Nattiq Technologies. "This represents another option to accessing the internet in addition to the use of standard PC l," he added.
There are thousands of blind users of Talks in the Arab world who are welcoming this addition to Talks which will provide them with increased independence and privacy in using their Nokia mobile phones.
