Women Expo 2007 attracts large crowds of women

A large number of women and their families have been making their way to the Oman International Exhibition Centre over the past two days to visit Women Expo 2007, an international exhibition of women's products and services which is ongoing until December 14.

"The response of visitors has been very good since the formal opening of the exhibition on Sunday," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading exhibition management company in the sultanate. "Women have fully appreciated the holding of a show that is intended especially to cater to all their needs and interests."

Paul pointed out that Women Expo 2007 features over 60 companies and organisations showcasing products and services from the following six major categories: health and beauty, career and education, fashion and lifestyle, food and kitchen, home improvement, and child care and development. He explained that all these cover everything important in the lives of women, making the annual Women Expo an event that women can truly call their own.

Admission to Women Expo is for ladies and families only. The exhibition timings are from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Friday, December 14, which is the final day of Women Expo 2007, the exhibition will be open only in the evening. All female visitors get a chance to win exciting prizes in the raffle draw by simply going to the exhibition.

Women Expo 2007 is officially supported by the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Thai Spa Association, and Hong Kong Jewellery and Jade Manufacturers Association. The co-sponsors are Kaya Skin Clinic, Oman Tourism College, Damas, Jotun Paints, Parachute, Pediasure, and Tapal Tea. The media partners of the event are Al Mar'a, Usrat Al Youm, Al Hasnaa, Oman Tribune and Al Watan as well as the Times of Oman and Al Shabiba. It is also supported by Swiss International Airlines as the official airline, Nissan as the official car, and Celebrate as the official decorator.

In addition to the sponsors, many other leading companies in Oman that directly deal in women's products and services are also taking part in the exhibition. Among these are Khimji's Bait Al Ahlam, Salman Stores, Oman Modern Electronics, Al Diwaniya Perfumes, Al Oud Palace, Adam's Sons Jewellery, Ibn Sina Pharmacy, Al Sawadi Bech Resort, Zainal Baqer Mohebi, and Al Nahda Resort & Spa.

Women Expo 2007 also prominently features the educational programs and career options available to women with the participation of many educational institutions including Majan College, Mazoon College, Muscat College, Al Zahra College for Women, Oman Tourism College, and the National Hospitality Institute. In addition, the exhibition has attracted the participation of many international exhibitors from countries like Bangladesh, Cyprus, India, Italy, Pakistan, Singapore, Syria, Thailand and the UAE.
