GNSS, a company specialized in providing products and services that cover the security spectrum in all respects, is showcasing a huge gamut of fire and rescue apparatus from Ferrara at the event.

The Ferrara range of fire and rescue apparatus are noted for their rugged and quality exceeding European standards for safety.

'We, along with our partner GNSS, are showcasing some of the latest technologies in fire fighting vehicles, including products such as aerials, pumpers, rescues, tankers, brush trucks, industrial equipments, Haz-Mat vehicles, strong arms, FFA custom chassis, and so on,' said Mr. Jonathan Carroll, International Sales Manager at Ferrara Fire Trucks. 'FDIC Bahrain is one of the most important events for us as it offers the regional fire fighting industry hands-on-training, workshops, a conference and an exhibition - all at one event, over one week.'

The companies will also throw the spotlight on a few key products such as Ferrara Strong Arm and Inundator fire trucks. Ferrara's Strong Arm is a revolutionary new firefighting vehicle developed, engineered and designed exclusively for heavy duty continuous use in the extreme adverse conditions. The vehicle has been designed by Ferrara Fire Apparatus in association with Gradall, the world's leading producer of mobile aerial work platforms and the leading producer of tele-handlers and telescopic hydraulic excavators.

This event will also mark the signing of the sales contract between GulfNet Security Systems and Dubai Civil Defense for the first Ferrara strong Arm truck sold in the region. 'By signing this contract with GulfNet Security Systems, the Dubai Civil Defense will be equipped with the latest technology in fire fighting technology of the 21st century,' said Brigadier Rashid Al Matroushi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Defense. 'We are very pleased to put this new technology to use in the UAE and for the first time in the Middle East which will increase the safety of the lives of our firemen and to reach extinguish the fire faster than any other method we have seen to date.'

'The Strong Arm has been engineered to ensure quick, simple, easy operation while offering practical performance and new safer, more efficient methods of combating man's oldest enemy, fire. Ferrara Fire Apparatus continues to lead the way by providing innovative products and services to enhance firefighter safety,' said Mr. Michael Roumi, General Manager of GulfNet Security Systems.

Apart from Strong Arm, GNSS is also showing off Ferrara's 'INUNDATOR' industrial pumper. INUNDATOR is a next generation Inferno XD series medium four door cab with 8-inch raised roof. It comes with a heavy duty extruded aluminum body, Detroit diesel series 60 515 HP engine, Allison EVS4000 automatic transmission, Williams Hot Shot II 300 balanced pressure foam system and a 1000 gallon foam tank.

'Saving lives is what fire fighting is all about, whether it is the lives of civilians in danger, or keeping members of the fire-fighting team alive as they strive to get a dangerous situation under control. The Middle East is one of the fastest growing regions in the world. Security is the major concern worldwide and especially in the Middle East. There is growing demand for higher levels of security in the region, and we want to ensure that we deliver the best in security and fire-fighting equipment to the market,' explained Mr. Roumi.

'FDIC Bahrain helps fire-fighters in the Middle East save lives in three key areas: experience, knowledge and equipment. The event is also one of the largest security events in the Middle East and is thus an ideal platform for us to meet our potential customers and demonstrate our cutting edge security products to a much focused audience,' Mr. Roumi concluded.
