US Dept of Commerce felicitates Doha Bank CEO

The United States Department of Commerce-US Commercial Service conferred a Certificate of Appreciation on Mr. R. Seetharaman, Chief Executive Officer Doha Bank.
The Certificate of Appreciation was conferred by Mr. Israel Hernandez, Assistant Secretary of Commerce Director General of the Commercial Service International Trade Administration
Mr. R. Seetharaman is very active in promoting economic cooperation and cross border investment opportunities between the GCC and other regions across the globe including Washington and New York. This recognition comes in wake of contributions made by Mr. R. Seetharaman for the promotion of Qatar-USA bilateral trade and financial ties. In strengthening the Qatar-USA bilateral trade and financial ties Mr. R. Seetharaman had spearheaded the following knowledge sharing seminars/ forums in the last couple of years:
Global Warming & Climate Change Seminar organized by Doha Bank in Washington in October 2007.
Mr. R. Seetharaman addressed Columbia Business School on "Changing Paradigm in Financial Services" at New York in October 2007;
Seminar organized by Doha Bank, held at New York in October 2007 on "In celebration of East - West Financial Ties"
Seminar organized by US and Qatar Business Council, held at Washington in December 2006 on "America and Qatar are logical partners";
Seminar on "GCC Transformation and opportunities in Qatar", held at New York in December 2006 on "American companies must explore opportunities in Qatar";
The second US-MENA conference on Anti Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism, held at New York in December 2006 on "GCC countries committed to combat money laundering";
Seminar organized in the sidelines of Annual IMF meet, held at Singapore in September 2006 on "Grand Showcasing of GCC & Qatar Opportunities";
Mr. R. Seetharaman addressed Carneige Mellon University on "Changing Paradigm in Financial Services" at Doha in June 2006;
Seminar organized by American Business Council, held at Doha in April 2006 on "Global companies can immensely benefit by setting up base in Qatar";
Seminar conducted by ING, held at New York in September 2005 on "GCC Economic Transformation" and also "Pensions-from a Global Perspective".
