Sharjah Tatweer Forum organizes briefing meeting with 'Arab Youth Forum'

Sharjah Tatweer Forum (Tatweer), the emirate of Sharjah's ambitious initiative for building skills of UAE nationals and promoting partnership among various sectors, has announced that it has recently held a briefing meeting at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.

The meeting presented the achievements and programs of the Forum along with its strategies and future plans before the participants of the 'Arab Youth Forum' in Sharjah.

Hussain Al Mahmoudi, Chairman of Sharjah Tatweer Forum, said: "We are honoured to constantly receive the support and guidance of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and the Honorary Chairman of Tatweer. We greatly appreciate His Highness' attendance of many events organized by the Forum, the most recent of which was the first annual conference titled 'Life Sciences - Trends & Opportunities Conference'."

"The care and development of young leaders, and efforts towards improving their competence are considered one of the main elements for the development of this country, and the move towards building an effective national economy that can harness the dramatic growth. The Forum is pleased to participate in turn through this initiative on the eve of celebrating the 36th UAE National Day, may God bless it with goodness and progress for the people of United Arab Emirates."

Mr. Hussain Al Mahmoudi added: "We hope through this meeting to communicate with the youth from various Arab countries and familiarize them with one of the initiatives designed to support the sustainable economic and social development in UAE, and encourage them to participate effectively and take the initiative and work to empower themselves and improve their practical skills and build global best practices to meet the challenges of the twenty first century."

Mrs. Moza Al Khayyal, one of the active members in Sharjah Tatweer Forum and Director of Training and Development Department of Sharjah Ladies Club branches, provided a detailed presentation regarding the Forum establishment, its vision and objectives, and the most important programs sponsored during the past period as well as the activities and events brought to the public or workshops for members.

Mrs. Moza explained during her presentation that the Forum's achievements during the past two years are based on measured steps that anticipate the opportunities available for the emirate by highlighting its infrastructure and adding to the achievements of Sharjah in the areas of industry, business, tourism, education and heritage preservation. The activities and programs of the Forum also aim at meeting its key objectives and general strategy, which are based on identifying a generation of young people able to assume responsibility for the future and its development; in addition to encouraging the private sector to play a greater role in economic and social development in Sharjah.

"Sharjah Tatweer Forum is considered as a leading example for promoting economic growth by advocating partnership among the organizations of different sectors and developing many ambitious programs aiming at enhancing the youth skills to encourage effective participation in the process of development," Mrs. Moza said to the Arab youth participating in the seminar.

The members of the Forum are tasked with a number of responsibilities, which include identifying and communicating with leading organizations on the local, regional and international level next to the major economic and social events. The Forum members also enjoy the opportunity to communicate with a wide range of categories of promising young people who provide new and innovative ideas and projects for the public and private sectors, and they are entitled to participate in all the events and activities of the Forum such as workshops, conferences and programs. The Forum is committed to supporting the ambitious ideas of its members and studying the possibility of implementing and promoting them within the two sectors.

Mr. Hussain Al Mahmoudi said: "We take this move to raise awareness and define the Forum for the nationals and residents of UAE as well as the Arab youth, and to encourage, motivate and empower them to assume the responsibility of leadership in the future. We aim also to increase awareness about Sharjah and its available opportunities, and to promote the sustained development and increase the competitiveness of the emirate."

Sharjah Tatweer Forum was established under a decree issued by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and the Honorary Chairman of Tatweer.
