Dubai Ladies Masters tees off with Emirates

With the support of Emirates, the award winning airline, some of the best women golfers in the world will be teeing off on Thursday as the Dubai Ladies Masters gets underway at the Emirates Golf Club.

The latest addition to the Ladies European Tour, the Dubai Ladies Masters is quickly becoming one of the most successful tournaments on the tour, and very popular among the players as well. Annika Sorenstam, the defending Dubai Ladies Masters champion, heads the list of challengers from 25 countries, which includes Gwladys Nocera, winner of last week's EMAAR-MGF Ladies Masters in Bangalore, Britain's Laura Davies and Sweden's Sophie Gustafson.

Emirates has a great affinity with golf and is an avid supporter of golf tournaments. In addition to the Dubai Ladies Masters, Emirates has been the Official Carrier for the annual Dubai Desert Classic since the event's inception in1989. Emirates is also the Official Airline to nine other golf tournaments around the world.
