The ceremony took place in the main auditorium of The Emirates Academy.
The Dean's list is one of many ways the faculty of The Emirates Academy acknowledges the outstanding academic performance of its top students. In order to qualify for a place on the Dean's list, students must demonstrate achievement across courses and attain an exceptional Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.75 or above.
The top three students recognised at the Dean's list ceremony were Christopher Dutt from UK, Anh Tuan Vu Dinh from Vietnam, and Anju Abraham from India.
In addition to recognising 11 students on the Dean's list, the Academy awarded a student group with the best Food & Beverage Management project of 2007. Also a special award was presented to Christopher Dutt, the top student, for his success in shadowing the CEO for one day.
Mr. Guy Crawford, CEO of Jumeirah Group addressed the students by saying: "I am very proud to be recognising such outstanding performance in these students, who are bound for great success in their careers. The students with us here today are the future of the hospitality industry and I am sure they will go on to excel as hoteliers, either here in Dubai or overseas. I congratulate them all on behalf of the Jumeirah Group and commend their achievements."
