- PRESS RELEASE
More than 450 young men and women rallied on December 9th at the famous RIBA building, in London, full of enthusiasm and hope to be selected as contestants in the "The Hydra Executives" TV show.
Hydra Properties CEO, Dr. Sulaiman AL Fahim, signaled the starting sign at 8:00 am, marking the beginning of the first phase of the screening process of 8 British contestants in the show, with cost of production amounting to $5m in its first season.
Dr. Al Fahim oversaw the testing process, which comprised skills, innovation, personal skills, understanding of the real estate sector, marketing and management tests. On basis of these, 58 persons were selected in preparation for the second selection phase.
"On the first day, we were able to meet 450 people, 58 of them were chosen for the second phase" said Dr. Al Fahim, Hydra Properties CEO. "Many participants have remarkable skills, and innovative ideas, we had, therefore, to implement stringent screening criteria, to maintain fairness in the selection process, as we need only 8 participants from Britain".
Because the nature of the show, and the limited number of participants that can take part in the contest, we have formed a special team to discuss with unlucky participants, their wonderful ideas and its relevance to Hydra's activities, to determine whether it could be used by the company, outlined Dr. AL Fahim.
The second phase of the screening process will become more competitive, Dr. Al Fahim expected, due to the need to choose the best of the best.
Hydra Properties will pursue its innovative initiatives, on the local and international levels, while its several projects in the UAE, Middle East and the World, maintains its special footprint in real estate development on all levels. The company will continue to add more differentiating landmarks on the real estate development arena every now and then, concluded Dr. AL Fahim.
"The Hydra Executives", one of reality TV shows, is a contest between a British and an American team, each comprised of 8 contestants, competing over 16 episodes, on weekly basis. Towards the end of the show, the contestant with the most innovative idea, suitable for a successful real estate venture will be awarded $1m, to start a joint venture in the UAE, as part of Hydra Properties.
After getting through with the selection process, the 16 contestants will arrive in Abu Dhabi, where the show will take place.
